Following on from a forward commitment of Brocklebank Retail Park, the Charities Property Fund is pleased to announce that the retail scheme achieved practical completion in August 2017, with all four stores having opened by the end of November 2017, in time for the busy Christmas trading season.
The scheme, situated in the heart of Greenwich’s retail warehousing pitch, is occupied by Primark, Next, Aldi and Mothercare and comprises in excess of 147,000 sq ft. It is positioned opposite Greenwich Shopping Park, a Sainsbury’s superstore and adjacent to Wickes (not owned by the Fund). In addition, Ikea are in the process of spending £100 million constructing their first full sized London store in over 13 years which will be their most sustainable in the UK and total over 33,000 sqm. It will be located a short distance away at Millennium Way Retail Park. The area is set to be transformed further by Knight Dragon’s Greenwich Peninsula development which will comprise at least 13,000 new homes.
Brocklebank Retail Park has been designed to a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating and benefits from over 800 photovoltaic panels as well as 20 car charging points.
